Vistapages and HostMDS Review

14 March 2009

Price: 5/10. They have quite weird packages with 512MB as start package and 1GB package is quite expensive - you can get dedicated server for 129$.

Uptime: 6/10

Support : 4/10

Complains about wiping entire accounts and unable to cancel their services.

At the beginning it was a little bumpy getting the sites up, but I haven’t had to call them for anything in over 5 months.

Weird is the right word to start. Stay away.

I utilized this company a few years back. My experience was terrible. A member of management had my email account spammed that probably still continues to this day if I were to check my filters. The company had refused to shut off their spam email coming to my account after I complained about the one manager who threated to spam me “forever.” It was weird, unprofessional, and annoying.

It all started after I complained about their lack of response and failure to close my account and continuing emails despite my repeated requests. My bill was paid up. The past 10 years I have never encountered a more unprofessional company. In my opinion, I warn anyone and everyone to stay away from VistaPages

Unfortunately I’ve been with HostMDS since they took over Vistapages. Performance and service has always been sub-standard but recently it has been getting much worse.

As I speak my sites have been down for 3 days and counting and I can’t get any kind of response from tech support indicating what the problem is or when I can expect to get access to my sites again.

Extremely unprofessional company with no idea of the meaning of customer service or reliability, and no integrity in honoring their advertised claims.

I’m in the process of transferring my domains away from this woeful company and it can’t happen fast enough. They have no business being in business.
